Today we read the true story of Wangari Maathai.  The book is called ‘Wangari’s Trees of Peace‘ and it is by Jeanette Winter.

  1. Thanks for the great story sharing! Grade 7 discussed the questions- we thought that the parallels between Wangari and Greta Thunberg were they both had a passion and committed to helping the world in a positive way. They are also both inspirational women, helping empower others to help too. They both started grassroots movements and had challenges along the way.
